Ten women in ministry from the Oregon Ministry Network blessed us in early February during two important events, the 5th anniversary of Night to Shine, a gala evening for those with special needs and their caregivers, as well as our first ever retreat for Assembly of God women in ministry from three provinces of Ecuador. The Oregon women not only ministered in both events, but also sent funds ahead to cover most of the cost, brought prom clothing, gifts and much more. Thank you doesn't seem to be enough to express my appreciation for all of you in OMN.
Since my October newsletter, the church in Sinincay has blown the lid off their Faith Promise goal of $32,000. They are currently at $34,825 and it seems there's no stopping them! A team from Solid Rock Assembly in Worthington, Minnesota came in January to help with pouring the cement slab for the sanctuary floor. The local church continues to advance with work days every Saturday.
Marcos' testimony: "My wife, Fanny, and I had a cash flow problem when we were challenged to make a Faith Promise towards the building project. We decided to give whatever profits we made from our 7 acre cocoa plantation on the coast. The harvests had been meager due to a "plague" that caused the cocoa pods to drop to the ground before maturing. However, as soon as we made our promise, the plague stopped and the cocoa pods stayed on the trees. My neighbor who has a 17 acre plantation asked me about my harvest. I told him we had harvested 30 five gallon buckets of cocoa. He was amazed because his harvest on a farm more than twice as big was only 3 five gallon buckets!"
